We need volunteers to help fit some of our band and orchestra students in concert uniforms during the last week of September. Volunteers would help students determine a uniform size and record uniforms as they are checked out. Shifts are during second block and fourth blocks. Jazz Auditions materials are now available on Google Classroom. (To join this classroom page, use the join code 36fqd7y) All students interested in participating in Jazz this year must complete an audition. Jazz is a co-curricular activity; students must be enrolled in a performance music class during both semesters to participate. Auditions for all wind players will be on Monday, October 29th, and all rhythm section auditions will be on Tuesday, October 30th. View the preliminary BHS Jazz calendar HERE.
The BHS Jazz Program will travel over spring break this year to Music City, USA - Nashville, TN! ALL students who participate in Jazz may participate in this experience. We will have a short informational meeting with a representative from our travel company on Tuesday, September 18th, at 7pm in the Band Room.
Food & Water Donations for NIU - We are all set to make a meal of brats / hamburgers / hotdogs for the NIU competition...but we could still use some donations to round out the meal. BMB Seniors - Time for a photo shoot. Senior photos, in uniform, will be taken on Saturday, 9/15, at 11:45 prior to the group yearbook photo. The photos will be used for senior posters which will be displayed at Senior Night (10/12) and at the BMB Banquet (10/30), then you get to keep them. Your photo will be taken whether you order a poster or not. Posters are 24" x 24" and are similar to yard signs. The posters can be ordered for $19. Pay by cash or check payable to Kim Mazur. Put payment in an envelope with your name on it and drop off in the band room (envelope marked Senior Posters) or bring the payment with to the photo shoot.
